A suspect sought in an attempted homicide that occurred on Sept. 14 was arrested today in Florida by the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, Southern Pines police said.

Kovacs Kieron Troutman of Southern Pines, was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held in the Indian River County Detention Center.

The attempted homicide took place at approximately 10:54 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14 at the U.S. 1 South off ramp to Morganton Road in Southern Pines.

Responding patrol officers discovered the victim, who was identified as Bobby Terrell Dobbins of Southern Pines, had been shot multiple times while sitting in a parked vehicle. Dobbins was treated on scene by Moore County EMS and transported to receive further treatment.
