The Democratic Women of Moore County will hold its monthly meeting Saturday at Homewood Suites in Olmsted Village.

Coffee and socializing will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be Maurice Holland, N.C. delegate to the recent Democratic National Convention. He will talk about his recent experience as a delegate at the convention in Charlotte last month.

Also during the meeting, the upcoming Nov. 6 election will be discussed, and opportunities to get involved in the campaign will be presented.

Everyone is asked to bring canned goods to donate to the food bank. The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
