The Moore County Sheriff’s Office provided the following information.

Reports

Oct. 1: Male, 50, reported the illegal dumping of trash on land on N.C. 24/27 near Bass Road; Female, 50, reported someone removed two rings from a home on Midland Road, Southern Pines; Female, 56, reported someone broke into a home on N.C. 211 in Eagle Springs; Female, 33, reported the theft of a handgun from a vehicle parked at a home on Pinebluff Lake Road, Aberdeen; An employee of Harris Printing, Seven Lakes Plaza, West End, reported someone damaged a smokers stand in an attempted break-in.

Oct. 2: Male, 23, reported someone damaged tires on a vehicle parked on Union Church Road, Carthage.
