Raeford Man Charged in Break-Ins, Larcenies

A Raeford man has been arrested by Moore County Sheriff's deputies and charged in connection with three break-in sna larcenies at a home in Whispering Pines, Sheriff Lane Carter said.

On Oct. 2, deputies arrested Willam Jermaine Ray, 35, of 176 Ratley Street, Raeford, N.C. after receiving information of a suspicious person at a home outside of Whispering Pines. They arrived to find a break-in had occurred.

Ray was charged with three counts of breaking and/or entering, three counts of larceny after breaking and/or entering and three counts of possession of stolen goods. Ray bond was set at $15,000 secured with a first appearance in Moore County District Court on Oct. 18, 2012.

The other incidents occurred at the same home and were reported on Sept. 24 and Sept. 30 by Lee Sadler.

Items reportedly taken in the incidents include assorted meat, electrical wire, a wood stove, sheets of galvanized steel.
