Pinehurst Police Reports Through Sept. 29

The Pinehurst Police Department provided the following information.

Reports

Sept. 24: Male, 74, reported the theft of stereo equipment from a home on Inverrary Road; Male, 64, reported someone entered a home in the 300 block of Lake Dornoch Drive and removed a water jug filled with money; Male, 24, reported the loss of a credit card.

Sept. 25: Male, 75, reported another man as missing after he walked away from family at Carolina Eye, 2170 Midland Road.

Sept. 26: Officers accepted a bicycle left beside the roadway in the 800 block of Monticello.

Sept. 27: Male, 65, reported someone took, altered and cashed a check from postal service property at 80 Blake Boulevard; Officers responded to report of an abandoned vehicle with a flat tire located on Short Road near Page Road.

Sept. 28: Member of the Fairwoods on 7 homeowners’ association reported the theft of two street signs in the 100 block of Applecross Road; Female, 77, reported someone defrauded her by sending her counterfeit checks; Officer responded to Lawn and Tennis, 1 Merrywod, for a report of vandalism.

Sept. 29: Female, 68, reported damage to a mailbox and landscaping at a home on Stoneykirk Drive.
