Four lovely young ladies will represent the Sandhills Business and Professional Women's organization in 2013 following the 30th Miss Noel Scholarship Pageant, held on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Aberdeen Elementary School.

Cassidy Stoltenberg, daughter of Molly Stoltenberg, of Aberdeen, was crowned Miss Noel.

She will be joined by Little Miss Noel 2013, Callie Francisco, daughter of Crystal Francisco, of Vass; Junior Miss Noel 2013, Riley Noelle Medlin, daughter of Jeff and Angie Medlin, of Carthage; and the very first Teen Miss Noel 2013, Zoe Richardson, daughter of Charlie and Lisa Richardson, of West End.

Riley Noelle Medlin was recognized as the overall talent winner, with her gymnastic performance, and Zoe Richardson won the highest ticket sales award.

First runner-up honors were awarded to Little Miss contestant McKenna Stevens, daughter of Heather Duever and Bobby Newton, of Aberdeen; Junior Miss contestant Katy Stoltenberg, daughter of Molly Stoltenberg, of Aberdeen; and sisters Isabella Brugveras and Tearsah Brugveras, daughters of Linda Stewart, who competed in the Miss Noel and Teen Miss Noel divisions, respectively.

In all, 17 local girls ages 5 to 15 years participated in this annual holiday-themed program. All proceeds are used to further the educational goals of deserving Moore County college-aged women and, since 1982, Sandhills BPW has awarded more than 107 scholarships.
