Thank you for your recent article about the help that Lee Electrical gave to people in Long Island to recover from Sandy (“Local Crews Light Up NY Families,” Nov. 12).

I think that this shows what a caring company can do.

I also think that it shows the heart of the people of Moore County, North Carolina.

I was so impressed by this generosity that I gave The Pilot article to my two Moore County Literacy Council students to read and discuss so that they get a better idea of the exceptional character of the state and county they have chosen to live in.
