"Business at the Whispering Pines Thrift Shop has been booming, and although we will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday, we will open as usual on the following Wednesday," says a spokesman. "Come in early and get a head start on your holiday shopping. We are stocking our shelves with great Christmas merchandise and bargains to help you stretch your shopping dollar.

"The Thrift Shop staff would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your business and donations this year. As you are doing your fall cleaning, keep in mind that we could use any Christmas or other holiday decorations that you no longer use."

The shop is located at the corner of Vass Carthage and Niagara-Carthage roads and is open for business Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations are accepted Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
