The Clothes Horse and Friend to Friend are teaming up to find clothing for use by Friend to Friend recipients.

Friend to Friend is a nonprofit organization that offers help to women affected by domestic violence.

The Clothes Horse, located beside Fresh Market in Southern Pines, will be accepting gently used clothing for the remainder of November.

"In exchange, the Clothes Horse will give each customer donating clothing 20 percent off one regularly priced item," says Paula Brown, owner of the business. (There is a limit of one discount per customer during this event.)

Brown feels this is a great way to give back to the community for its support through the years.

Brown reopened the shop after former owner Kelly Ward had closed it to spend time with her first child.

"Kelly and I both feel this is a great cause," says Brown. "We hope everyone participates to make this event a success and help the people of Friend to Friend."

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Donations will be accepted during those times.
