The Southern Pines Business Association will deck the streets of downtown Southern Pines once again with its annual "Parade of Christmas Trees."

From Nov. 19 through Dec. 31, Broad Street and Pennsylvania and New Hampshire avenues will be lined with 83 beautifully -decorated Christmas trees, -providing a festive ambience for the holiday season.

For the first time, organizers say, 10 to 12 trees will be on -display on West Pennsylvania near the Douglass Community Center.

Tree sponsors include individuals, shop owners, businesses and other organizations.

Judges will evaluate each tree following the Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 1, with a prize going to the best-decorated tree.
