The rejoicing by liberals, Democrats and progressives on this site and others is very confusing to me.
I remember how life was when Reagan was president and most of the country was of like mind.
This upset the far left so badly that with their new “golden boy” Bill Clinton, they set out to fix that. Reagan won with around 70 percent of the vote and this was just too big a difference to let stand.
This effort to divide this country has worked pretty well, and is still moving “forward,” an old German slogan, I believe. So much so that our people are gunned down in Libya while former SEALs are told not to help, the leader of our country lies to us for two weeks about what happened, and nobody on the left utters a word of protest.
We find out that Iran once again rattles their sword by shooting at a drone, and the loyal followers are silent again. Now we find that a true hero has been involved in an affair, and the FBI knew about it in September, supposedly after the 11th.
And after this general goes to Libya one-and-a-half weeks ago to do his own investigation, comes back and resigns after being asked to testify, three days after this progressive wins the election. Once again, you hear nothing from the left.
Do you folks on the left not want to know about this timetable, not want some answers, no matter how much you’ve been told to hate us conservatives?
Blind faith leads us places that we might not want to go. Forward might just be one of those places.

Actually scorched earth politics dividing the country pretty much started with Newt Gingrich. The writer knows more than the Congressional committee holding closed door classified hearings about Lybia? Maybe he should be testifying. Iran supposedly shot at a drone? They didn't manage to hit it. Even if they had would the writer suggest the USA start WW III over the incident? The General/ex-head of the CIA testified. So much for the grand cover-up conspiracy. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself, and Mr. Alley!

Mr. Alley, As a vet, I want to know answers to what happened in Lybia, but first and foremost, we need to NOT BE in those places!! We need to close all embassies in countries that hate us and throw their ambassadors out of our country. Tell all ex-pats that are there if they chose not to get out of those countries that they are on their own. So they shot at our drone, if it was in their airspace, and it most likely was, they should have shot at it!! We need to quit being the world's policeman and quit all these nation building/interventions in other countries.

SPUWS, you are certainly absolutely right!! For the president and his cohorts to even attempt to do something that they know absolutely nothing about they are going to need all the prayers they can get. I certainly hope that we do NOT go forward with this idiot of a president because he already has twenty to twenty five million people un or under-employed and has added six TRILLION in NEW debt in his first four. Heaven help us if he doesn't do an about face and at least get us back where we started. And please don't think that his being elected for a second term is my loss...it is the loss of the country as we know it, the loss of reputation around the world, the loss of fiscal responsibility, the loss of our credit rating, etc...it is the impending loss of our country. Anyone with children who voted for obama should be ashamed of putting that much more debt on them.

As in at the end of the Bush II administration: the economy in a graveyard spiral, the country facing a financial meltdown, major corporations about to go under, two wars going nowhere and fought off budget, the reason for one of which still can't be explained? And you think that was better than where we are now?

Yes, I realize that we had a mess when obama got elected...and who exactly put us there?? GWB?? Not in this lifetime! Try your fellow dems there SPUWS. Housing market was Bush's fault? Ever heard of Barney Frank and the Dodd feller?? Do you agree that it is so important for anyone to own a house that you would force the banks to accept people on welfare? On unemployment? Has he been tested like Bush was shortly after being elected? No, though he seems to have comepletely screwed the response to our embassy being attacked and his latest lame response is that they didn't want the perps to know we were after them. ( Fay. Obs. today ) Pretty silly given that when our Seals got Osama he couldn't wait to exploit the information but announced to the world that we had gotten reams of information out of Osama's living quarters. Pretty stupid, if you ask me, to waste that intelligence bonanza simply so he could go on tv and pound his chest and act like he did it all by himself at great personal danger.

Skylinepest, We do not totally disagree about the President, but a little bit over half the country elected him for 4 more years. The Republicans have totally lost their way, and now are even foolish enough to want to "double down" on being like they are. As long as the religious right and folks that say they want govt. out of our lives, yet want to be in charge of everything we do to our own bodies are in charge they will lose, and lose badly. If the Repubs cannot "change" to something else, they are done for as a political party.

Yukon...I agree in part BUT we both know who and how obama got redone. As I said, we'll see in four years just how foul an administration this one will be with it's unbridled leader. If obama can't deliver on jobs and fiscal responsibility then we are for all practical means done as a superpower. I actually wish him success on this because the country needs it to survive. But as anti-business as he has SAID that he is, and all indications would seem to point out that this one time he isn't lying, I don't believe he can do it or wants to do it. Funny isn't it that he really doesn't respect this country that made him and his wife millionaires!!!!

Skyline, Just for me, I do not question most anyone's patriotism, even though he appears to see things and do things much different than l would. I honestly believe he sees America differently than many, yourself and myself included. I think his heart lies with being Islamic, but that is between him and his "whatever". I know some really dislike him, but half the country says he's OK enough to be the President. After GWB l was sorely afraid that he might try to wrestle the party or the country to repeal the 22nd Amendment and try and be king. But, in the system in the United States, unless he commits some crime and can be impeached he will be our President until 2016. I honestly hope l am wrong and he is right but fear for our union.

southernpinesupperwestside~ I couldn't agree with you more on almost everything you've said. The problem is you aren't in the "Fox News Bubble" and therefore aren't filled with flat out lies 24/7. If most of these far right extremists, would take 30 minutes a day to tune into anything other than their talk radio and Fox, as well as various other news sources that base only about 10% of what they report on facts, then they would know that what they are saying is nothing more than a bunch of conspiracy theory, far right talking points. But, they aren't going to. They aren't going to take the time to even attempt to see both sides of the coin. They don't want to. They actually still not only doubt, but believe that Obama was not born in America, that he's part of the Muslim Brotherhood, and that his sole purpose is to tear down America. Simply facts like a big part of the budget being where it is now is because he took a war that Bush openly kept off the books and put it on the books. But they keep blaming it on him. Simply put, we are never going to say anything to some of these people that is going to sink in.
Sadly, a good portion of the people I know and I'm close to, are also in this same "Bubble", and even if they are intelligent people in all other parts of their lives, for some reason they truly believe the garbage they are hearing daily. They don't care the slightest that there is simply no smoking gun. They don't want Obama in Office (and sadly even if they refuse to admit it I know part of it is based on the color of his skin) and they rather have someone like Romney, who couldn't keep his lies straight in office. It's sad, but there doesn't seem to be anything that will change their minds or get them to attempt to see both sides. It's the whole "US vs. Them" crap that has this country so divided.

Here is why I will continue to "hate" our president. I "hate" his white half as well. And I "hated" Bush for some of the same reasons, Patriot Act. It's even liberal reader friendly..... Huffington Post.

Interesting packwilleat ~ that goes back to the '50's. Our government at work...so it didn't just happen on POSTUS'O's watch. I think that "almost" all know who owns our elected leaders. The people just stand in line to mark a ballot. Sucks!

Our elected officials have a long history of usurping the peoples rights for their betterment. It's a game to them. To sit around and try to get the wordage right so the supreme court will consider it constitutional. Or better yet stack the supreme court in favor of the ruling parties favor. Whatever anyone wants to call it, it is nothing new.

And yes, it's well known that I despise this president and most of what he stands for. Toda at least tries to persuade us that the six trillion is Bush's fault and not obama's but the rest of you simply ignore it.

Clarabelle, with a minor bit of looking you will find video of both of the obammers talking about his "Muslim roots", etc. Now I've seen video of him pretty much saying he was a Muslim and I've seen video where he says he's a Christian....but he's a confirmed liar so I really don't know what he is...do you???
