The Women of Weymouth Christmas House committees are completing plans for two social events.

The Preview Party Gala, the opening event for Christmas House 2012, will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Weymouth Center.

Guests will have the opportunity to view the 23 decorated rooms of the Boyd House.

Janet Baron and Jackie Rosenblum, gala co-chairs, are very excited about this year's event.

Baron said, "The house is always so beautifully decorated for Christmas House, but in the evening under lamplight it takes on a very special atmosphere."

Fred Brush and Lynn Nelson will provide the musical entertainment in the Great Room while the guests enjoy the buffet and cocktails. Tickets for the black tie optional event are $50, and reservations are necessary. Call Weymouth at (910) 692-6261 for details.

Friday, Nov. 30, is the date of the annual Candlelight Tour. Kay Goulet and Gerry Turk are this year's chairs.

Starting at 7 p.m., guests can tour the decorated house and enjoy wine, cheese and sweets. Live piano music of holiday tunes will fill the house with the holiday spirit.
