The O’Neal boys’ basketball team used a pressure defense to jump out to an early lead Tuesday and defeated visiting Lee Christian 52-29 in its season opener. The Falcons grabbed a 17-4 lead by the end of the first quarter. Jacob Talbert led O’Neal in scoring with 24 points.

Jack Johnston added 10 to go along with seven points from Luke Elliott. Lee Christian was paced by Braxton Diekhoff with 10 points.

O’Neal’s next game is at Grace Christian on Nov. 27.
