Aberdeen police are looking for a man who robbed the Subway restaurant on N.C. 5 Thursday night.

Police say at approximately 9 p.m. a black male, approximately 6-feet tall and 160 lbs. entered the restaurant with his hand in his jacket pocket and pointed toward the clerk as if he had a gun and demanded money. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The subject was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt covering his face and dark blue jeans. He fled the store on foot.

There were two employees and no customers in the restaurant at the time of the incident.

No one was hurt.

A Southern Pines K9 unit was dispatched to assist with the search but failed to track the successfully track the suspect.
