A Carthage man faces felony charges in connection with break-in that was reported on Oct. 30.
Mychael Adam Scott Gillis, 21, is charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor probation violation.
The charges stem from an investigation into a reported breaking and entering in which the victim reported the theft of a XBox video game console and video games from within the residence while the victim slept. There was no signs of forced entry into the home, police said. The video game console was recovered during the investigation.
Gillis received a $7,500 secured bond and was placed in the Moore County jail pending a hearing on Nov. 14 in district court.
