The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra -presents "Italian and Spanish Inspirations" at Seabrook Auditorium, Fayetteville State University, Saturday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m.
Maestro Fouad Fakhouri will conduct. The evening's selections include the world premiere of Maestro Fakhouri's "Furia," Bizet's "Carmen: Suite No. 1" and Respighi's "Fountains of Rome; Pines of Rome."
Fakhouri found his inspiration for "Furia" from Francisco Goya's series of "Black Paintings" as well as his "Disasters of War" prints.
The work is made up of three movements and is performed without any pauses.
The Fayetteville Symphony provides a free shuttle service to and from Fayetteville State University.
