The Democratic Women of Moore County will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, Nov. 10, at Democratic Party headquarters at 205 W. Pennsylvania Ave., in Southern Pines.

Socializing is at 9:30 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be Selma Schwartzbach, chairwoman of the Issues Committee for the League of Women Voters. She will speak on the rise of the political action committees and the implications for elections.

Everyone is asked to bring canned goods to donate to the Food Bank. The meeting is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
