The Sandhills chapter of SCORE and the Moore County Chamber of Commerce thank everyone who submitted entries for this year's "Good to Great" essay contest.

The entries were well thought out and made compelling statements for how they could apply the $1,500 award money to accomplish new levels of success in their individual businesses, a news release said.

The winner of the 2012 contest will be announced at a luncheon Friday, June 8, at the Table on the Green restaurant at Midland Country Club. The luncheon begins at noon and the public is invited.

SCORE and the Chamber of Commerce sponsor the "Good to Great" contest annually to encourage small business development in Moore County.
