The Miss Greater Sandhills Scholarship association will host an orientation meeting for young women interested in participating in the year's Miss Greater Sandhills and Miss Greater Sandhills Outstanding Teen pageant.

The meeting will be held Sunday, June 10, at 2 p.m., and again on June 24, at the Comfort Inn, 9801 U.S. 15-501, in Pinehurst.

Potential contestants and their parents are invited to attend the meeting to learn more about the pageant program.

Pageant participants must be ages 17-24 and live, attend school or work full time in Lee, Moore, Richmond or Scotland counties. Teens ages 13-16 may reside in any county in North Carolina. Other eligibility rules apply.

The Little Miss meeting will be held on Sunday, July 22, at 2:30 p.m. at the Comfort Inn, in Pinehurst.

The pageants will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Pinecrest High School.
