Man Faces Felony Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

A West End man now faces multiple felony drug charges after he was arrested following a traffic stop Monday, according to a release from Southern Pines Police.

Kendrick Demar Marsh, 25, is charged with felony possession with intent to sell, deliver a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, true bill of indictment for possession with intent to sell/deliver marijunana, sell marijuana and deliver marijuana.

The arrests stems from an investigation by a Southern Pines Police Patrol unit while conducting a traffic stop at 11:30 p.m. Monday. K-9 Kelly was deployed and a subsequent search of the vehicle yielded suspected marijuana.

During the investigation it was determined that a True Bill of Indictment/Order for Arrest was outstanding on the subject due to an investigation by the Moore County/Southern Pines Police Department Narcotics Task Force.

Marsh appeared before a magistrate and was remanded to the Moore County jail under a $35,200 secured bond pending a hearing on June 6 in district court.
