The village of Pinehurst will be the setting of the Wine Walk and Antique Carriage Parade next weekend.
On Saturday, May 19, the inaugural Wine Walk will begin with a "shotgun start" at 4:30 p.m.
The walk is based on a traditional golf course, with 18 "holes," or sampling locations. Samples of wine or food are available at each stop.
The event continues through 8 p.m., with entertainment at the turn, or the "19th hole."
Tickets are $25 in advance and are available at the website www.Inside Pinehurst.com, Lowes Foods or participating merchants in the village of Pinehurst.
On Sunday, May 20, recapture the essence and spirit of 1895 in all its glory as the Moore County Driving Club hosts Carriage Classic in the Pines, a carriage driving competition topped off with a beautiful parade.
Participating merchants include Le Feme Chateau; Village Fox Boutique; Gemma Gallery; Eyemax Optical; Cool Sweats; Glam; Lyne's Furniture Den; Red Door Cafe; Thai Basil; Given Memorial Library; Tufts Archives; Tesoro Home Decor; Green Gate Gourmet; Gentleman's Corner; the Putter Boy Shop; the Faded Rose; Lady Bedford's Tea Parlour; Cameron and Co.; Pine Crest Inn; Village Wine Shop; Green Gate Olive Oils; and Kraz Elegant Cakes.
