Two men from Carthage and a teenager from Vass facing charges in connection with a reported break-n in Carthage.
Benjamin Tyler Sineath, 21, of the 100 block of Black Street, Carthage, is charged with one count each of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods.
Tristan Lane Finney, 20, of the 400 block of Rockingham Street, Carthage, and Christopher William Garzo, 17, of the 400 block of Smith Street, Vass, are also charged with one count each of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods.
Sineath was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $2,000 secured bond. Finney was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $5000.00 secured bond, Garzo was released on a $5,000.00 unsecured bond. All three are scheduled for their first court appearances on May 17 in district court.
The arrest occurred between May 4 and 7, and all resulted from an inviestigation into a report on April 27 of a break in in Carthage reported by Robert Wayne Fields, who said someone entered the residence through a locked door and removed jewelry and electronics.

Note to parents:as hard as it is, do not bond them out, time to grow up.

No, get them out ASAP. Otherwise, they might become another prisoners boyfriend, and now after yesterday's vote, they wouldn't be able to get married.

Emb6683: you sir or maam are an official tool. LET YOUR LOSS GO!!!! this is a totally different story about kids, I am sorry that you are so stuck on homosexual issues that a MAJORITY of the state do not want - GET OVER IT AND GO TROLL SOMEWERE ELSE!!!

I agree, RME. These young men appear to have made some bad choices and if that turns out to be the case they will have to face the consequences. It is a bad situation for their families so I will not make jokes or attempt to tie it to any other unrelated issue.

Some people, like emb, dont care about anything but their own selfishness; their issues are the only ones that they want to discuss. Hence, the troll reference. This is a story of 3 young people who are on the path of ruining the rest of their life if not shown the correct way to proceed. Yes, they need to be punished, but hopefully afterwards, something will happen and they are able to become productive citizens before breaking into the wrong residence and find themselves being shot dead.

I agree with fugitiveguy ... at 17, 20 and 21 years old. They are old enough to know better and they need to get a good dose of tough love.

I think the writers of the Pilot should get their facts straight before they go posting kids pictures in the newspaper. So all of you people who have nothing better to do then post comments about people should get their facts straight too. I cannot speak for two of the three accused, but I know for sure that one of the boys is in no way, shape or form involved. Its a REAL SHAME that someone can just put a name out there and all of the sudden he's guilty. I certainly hope The Pilot will write an apology when the TRUE facts come out. This is TERRIBLE

They all look like mug shots to me. That's a FACT...

It is true that some of the photos we see are later termed to be not guilty. By rights those people should get their picture put back in the paper with the exoneration. I hope Donna is right, however, the only ones who truly know what they did or did not do are the 3 guys pictured. I do not think I have said anything insensitive however if you are the family of these men it is probably best you do not read these comments because some posters are going to take their shots. You can count on that. As a father, I find no joy or anything humorous in this story.

Donna, what facts are incorrect? Tell us which facts the pilot has incorrectly posted? You say that one of the three of no way involved, yet all 3 are being charged with felonies; do you think kids in Moore county are randomly picked up out of church and charged with felonies?!
donna199 1 year ago
Well yes they are mug shots. Obviously they were arrested for these charges. However, healthcare, he was arrested for something he didn't do. Believe me, I think if you are guilty of a crime you should be charged. I agree with tough love and all the other stuff. I think you should pay for mistakes you make. But why the hell should you have to get embarrassed by lies. Maybe the Pilot should print the pictures after the hearings and AFTER they are found guilty.

Donna, I understand this is very upsetting to you. I do not know you but going back and forth on here is not going to help. If what you say is true, that will come out in court. Unfortunately that is the best you can hope for. If you continue to read these comments you will likely get more upset. Your energy is better spent being supportive to the family.

Well RmeMP, its called having the wrong person. I never once said that he was picked up at church or anything like that. I am just disgusted by the whole thing. Like I said before, I hope The Pilot will repost the story when all the facts come out. I am sure an apology would be out of the question. We all know the Pilot never makes mistakes

Donna199-- I understand your frustration. Simply being charged with a crime does not mean that you are guilty. Best I can tell, the Pilot has been posting mug shots of folks who have been charged, but not yet convicted. I think this is standard practice for the press...the public has a right to know who has been arrested and charged with a crime. And I think fugitiveguy's advice is spot-on: at this point, devote your energy to supporting the family and helping them get these kids a good lawyer. If these kids are innocent, you will know so soon enough. Good luck!

If you don't want your picture to appear in The Pilot in a story like this, just don't hang out with other troublemakers and try to work hard, and live your life right. If you do this, it is highly unlikely you will have a mug shot posted in the paper. Not 100% foolproof, but certainly the best option.

I dealt with two of them on a regular basis, TEN years ago when I was still policing in Moore County. Some things never change.

@unvmc: Imagine that! I was just talking to someone today about how every time I had to go to court, I would turn to my Sgt. and say "isn't that the same guy/gal that was here for something last week?" If it wasn't them, half the time it was a friend or relative of the same guy. Over and over and over......

Donna, I am sorry someone you know has been arrested and charged with a crime. I understand your frustration. However, your comment about "I think if you are guilty of a crime you should be charged" - just being charged does not mean one is guilty. It means they have probably cause to arrest and charge one. Guilt or innocence will be determined in court - by a judge and/or jury. I do agree that the Pilot needs to print the final outcome of all cases, but I don't believe they need to apologize to anyone. They are just publishing the facts - and the fact is all 3 have been arrested and charged. Let the truth come out in court. I hope you are right and the one you know is not guilty.

Spot on. On average, you have the same thirty percent of offenders committing seventy percent of the crime.

Note to parents of children accused of crimes posted by the Pilot or any other person charged with a crime...Posting on this website is not a good idea...your posts will end up in your discovery..

Apparently I was the only one that took EMB's comment as a joke?? But get one thing straight, people, these are not KIDS. They are old enough to commit a felony and they are old enough to kill or injure someone in the commission of a crime. They could have been killed or injured themselves in the process if the right person had come home while they were there. My home has been broken into twice through the years with no recovery of any of the stolen goods...just wish I'd have come home while they were there....

@ skylinefirepest -- That's what I was saying they are old enough to know better!!

Sineath had already 12 criminal encounters with the Law / Finney had already 22 criminal encounters with the Law / Garzo was last month charged with Poss. of drugs and now with B&E
I think its time to put some real Love to all three of them!!!

PM...
I wont go into specifics, but yes, they were already having encounters with law enforcement that early in life.
RmeMP 1 year ago
@sandhillsdogs: but, but, but, that can't be true - donna said its all a misunderstanding, and that none of us know anything, and that the police are just picking on some poor unfortunite lad; matter of fact, she even said that the pilot owes a big fat apology!
Lol, how about it now donna? Is what sandhillsdogs is saying true? Or just more facts, I mean lies...
