Two Carthage brothers are facing assault charges after a man reported he was dragged from his friend's home and assaulted, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's investigators on Friday, arrested Juan Sanchez, 29, and Augustine Sanchez, 37,both of the 300 block of Heron Road, and charged both men in connection with an assault that was reported on Thursday.
Both were charged with first degree kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury. Juan Sanchez received a $105,000 secured bond. Augustine received a $100,000 secured bond. Both men have a first court appearance of May 17.
The arrests stem from a report of an assault in progress at the Carolina Lakes subdivision outside Carthage. Deputies arrived at the Sanchez home and found Billy Joe Brown, 51, of the 400 block of Heron Road, with serious bodily injuries to his head, face and back. Brown told deputies he was draffed from a friends home and continuously assaulted.
Brown was transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Got to be a citizen to vote. But since there's no ID requirement, I guess anybody could walk up and say he is John Smith, oops I mean, Juan Sanchez.

There IS an ID requirement...When I went to vote, I had to give my ID AND tell them the address on the ID.

What they have done is terrible and they deserve to get the book thrown at them but you are ASSuming they aren't citizens.... just because they have jose and a hispanic last name doesn;t mean they are here illegally..... I hope Mr. Brown has since recovered.... but remember there are bad seeds in EVERY race..... Illegal or legal.

Sorry clarabelle, we're exclusive, my trailer park only allows white trash.
And who said anythying about illegal? I just said not a citizen, they could be here legally, with a green card, and still not be a citizen eligible to vote.

Well clarabelle, I too was wondering about their citizenship. I think it's fair to ask because they committed a violent crime.

Healthcare_2011...I voted this morning and "asked" to show my ID and was told there was no need. Just state my name and address. I think you should have to show your ID.

@ Healtcare_2011 - I voted at the early voting site last week. I did not have to show ID......same as Pappy, only had to state name and address. I agree we need voter reform that includes a photo ID.

Well, when I went to vote last week, they had signs at each station saying to have you ID ready. I guess it should be clarified by the Board of Elections if people should or should not have their ID to vote. Personally, I think that it should be required.

teufelhunden - I never mentioned anything about their citizenship. I imagine that certainly would be the first thing authorities check.
