SP Man Facing Multiple Felony Charges in Robbery, Assault

A Southern Pines man is facing multiple felony charges in connection with a reported burglary and assault, according to Southern Pines police.

Alfreato Delional Bass, 30, of Southern Pines, was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony first degree burglary, two counts felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, felony breaking or entering a motor vehicle, felony possession of burglary tools, felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor assault on a female and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bass was a suspect in connection with a a burglary and assault that took place on Oak Drive on April 21. Aberdeen officers arrested Bass on May 1 following a brief chase after he was spotted walking on foot in the area of Murray Hill Road and U.S. 1. After the arrest he was turned over to the Southern Pines police.

Bass appeared before a county magistrate and was placed in Moore County jail under a $75,000 bail pending a hearing in district court on May 17.

Good job LEO's. One less predator on the streets. Now if the judge will just sent Bass up the river for a good long time.

He won't be on the streets for a while with 27 charges on him and a total of a $100,000 bond...

Squeeze him really hard and maybe,just maybe he will have some incite on some of these other incidents,especially the robbery at the Kangaroo, Murray Hill is a breeding ground for some of our criminals sort of like one of those areas if you don't live there stay out.

Murray Hill Road is not the only place that criminals live or hang out in Southern Pines. They are ALL OVER Moore County... I've heard and seen several comments on several stories on the internet about how bad of a neighborhood Murray Hill Road is... Well, I live on Murray Hill rd and I haven't had any problems. If everyone would stop stereotyping certain areas of Southern Pines, and speak the truth... maybe it would be easier for people to get along

I think we need a panel to reject these crazy made up names when the child is first born. With a name like that, this man never stood a chance. His parents should be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a former minor.I reccomend parents show their prospective name choice to the first 5 people they come across. If 4 out of 5 pronounce it differently than you intended, pick another name.

Criminals rarely commit crimes in their own backyards. The rest of the criminals wouldn't put up with it.

healthcare2011, Not stereotyping,and fortunate for you that you have never had any problems,but the Timberlane Apt's and some surrounding low income projects have had there share of tennants that have more time on their hands then some, since they are getting a portion of their rent through the government,thus giving them more time to venture out into other sources of obtaining funds,you can pretend it does not exist in many of these low income,government subsidized projects areas but as one has commented,they rarely work over their own neighborhoods but use them as a refuge,sorry but it is what it is.
