Southern Pines police are searching for information and a suspect in connection with the slaying of a Southern Pines man that occurred shortly before midnight Tuesday.

Police responded to the 300 block of Shaw Avenue at 11:41 p.m. Tuesday. David Rashawn Shaw, 28, was shot at least once and found on the ground outside 396 Shaw Ave. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
