Miss Greater Sandhills Outstanding Teen Rachel Brittain was chosen by the judges as one of the top 10 to compete in Thursday night's Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen Pageant.

The winner of the pageant was Miss Lake Norman Outstanding Teen Alexandra Badgett.

Paige Adkins, Miss Greater Carolina Outstanding Teen, a student at Pinecrest High School, tied with Savanna Humphries, Miss Mount Holly Outstanding Teen, for the community service award. Adkins' platform is "Eating Disorders in Teens."
