West End Man Faces Drug Charges

A West End man faces charged with felony drug charges in connection with a larceny of a drug prescription, Moore County Sheriff Lane Carter said.
Mitchell McKinley Goins, 27, of the 100 block of Fire Tree Lane, is charged with felony obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance and misdemeanor larceny of a prescription.
Investigators from the Moore County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested Goins on June 14 following an investigation into a reported illegally obtaining Fetanyl patches after a larceny of a prescription for them. Fetanyl is a Schedule II controlled substance.
Goins received a $10,000 unsecured bond and was released.
