It had all the drama and emotion and giddiness of a reality show — only it was better. The chosen bachelors and bachelorettes at this event got a second chance at life!
The Dog Speed Dating Adoption event, graciously hosted by The Country Bookshop in Southern Pines, produced some unions made in heaven. Five canine bachelors/bachelorettes found their perfect match on their very first date.
The Pet Placement Project (P3) would like to thank The Pilot, The Country Bookshop, PineStraw, Driveway Dogs, Southern Pines Chevrolet, The Animal Center of Moore County staff and all the P3 volunteers who made this event a huge success.
The enthusiastic attendees celebrated the wonderful spirit and personalities of all of the dogs. Had The Animal Center staff chosen them over the course of many weeks for the event?
No, this event was a snapshot of the many sweet and adoptable pups that are cared for at The Animal Center day in and day out.
This event and future planned Speed Dating opportunities will showcase these smart, funny and affectionate creatures.
