Three residents of Robbins are facing charges of distributing prescription pills.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit on Wednesday arrested Billy Ray Ponds Jr., 50, of the 300 block of Plank Road, Pamela Ponds Haywood, 38, of the 1900 block of Spies Road and William Patrick Sanders, 39, of the 200 block of Ray Road.

Ponds Jr. is charged with three counts of felony trafficking in Opium, three counts of felony conspiracy to traffic in Opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, felony sell a controlled substance, and felony deliver a controlled substance.

Haywood is charged with three counts of felony trafficking in Opium, three counts of felony conspiracy to traffic in Opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, felony sell a controlled substance, felony deliver a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony possession of methamphetamine.

Sanders is charged with two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, two counts of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony sell methamphetamine, felony deliver methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ponds Jr. received a $150,000 secured bond while Haywood received a $100,000 unsecured bond and was released. Sanders received a $25,000 secured bond. Ponds Jr. and Sanders were placed in the Moore County jail.

The arrests stemmed from an investigation conducted by officers from the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit. Officers located and seized approximately two grams of methamphetamine, 32 dosage units of Soma prescription pills, nine dosage units of Oxycodone prescription pills, four dosage units Endocet prescription pills, $253.94 and items of drug paraphernalia, including digital scales.

Oxycodone and Endocet are Schedule II controlled substances and Soma is a Schedule IV controlled substance.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $500.
