Sue Hays Barr, of the Barr Associates, an executive business coaching firm, is teaching two classes at Sandhills Community College.
Both classes are for owners of small- to medium-sized businesses and are part of the Small Business Center at SCC.
In the first of the classes, "Creating Customer Loyalty in a Social Media World" on Thursday, Barr teaches business how to understand their customers' needs and expectations and to determine what media customers are using to discuss the business. Barr further shows businesses how to translate that into a dollar value and to translate the customer loyalty score into greater profits.
The second class, "Creating a Roadmap to Business Sustainability" on June 21, focuses on helping businesses identify ways to adapt and innovate to create longevity in an increasingly more competitive market. Barr will show business how to begin developing their sustainability plan.
Both classes are from 6 to 9 p.m. at 103 Van Dusen on Sandhills Community College's campus.
