No Hope or Change

Barack Obama, the man of hope, change and transparency, is amazing. In the past three years he has left out hope, nationalized health care and two-thirds of our auto industry, most of the big banks and the student loan system, and expanded the size of the federal government by thousands of people. He has become a salesman for food stamps. That’s change.

Nothing in his government is transparent. His resume includes college professor, Illinois state senator, U.S. senator, author and community organizer prior to gaining the White House.

He denigrates former Gov. Romney for his successful leadership roles as a Republican governor of the Democratic state of Massachusetts, leadership of a profitable and successful Olympic Games, and CEO of Bain Capital, a venture capital company responsible for rescuing troubled businesses.

I have never, in 50 years of voting, heard a U.S. president try to down our capitalist society. Obama is slamming a venture capital company whose job it is to make successful companies out of troubled ones and, in the process, adding jobs. He has nationalized much of our capitalist system. (Presidents Wilson and the Roosevelts were before my time.)

Obama knows how to spend money ($5 trillion in three years) and wants to tax us more so that we pay our “fair share” (his words). What about our economy and debt?

What a guy. Romney gets my vote.

Good article Karl. More and more people are coming to the realization that this SPOTUS has failed, and 4 more years moving "Forward" will be our demise. We cannot allow this administration, and their Marxist plan to continue with this onslaught on our nation. The government is a business, and needs to be run as such.

A straight forward honest comparison Mr. Killingstad , Now lets watch our liberal friends do their "Chubby Checker" impersonations with the facts. For those too young C.C. started "The Twist" craze.

How is requiring the purchase of insurance from private companies socialism? I think the word does not mean what the author thinks it does.

What part of the capitalist system has been socialized?

The only socialist medicine in America is that of the US military and the VA. And those are generally held in high regard.

Jimmy, how about the "New" party???? Or hasn't the major media bothered to let the public know about that yet? Oabammie is ( or was ) a card carrying member and that spells SOCIALIST. Just thought you'd like to know so you could claim being mis-informed!

JIm: you really need to get educated. "Require" purchase of health insurance from private sector jobs? Yeh, based on the "standard" Obama, Pelosi and Reid, has put forth. In other words, if they don't like your choice of private sector healthcare, it's over, you gotta go public. AS for your remark about the U S military and Va socialized medicine. Guess what, there is not EVEN a dermatologist in our area that will accept Tricare. Guess what, there is one GYN in our area that will accept Tricare. Guess what, there is only one Urologist office in our area that will accept Tricare. That's "military" Socialized medicine. So my question to others, is this how you want your healthcare handled? "CEO of Bain Capital, a venture capital company responsible for rescuing troubled businesses. " That should read "looting" troubled businesses.

Heim 'The only socialist medicine in America is that of the US military and the VA. And those are generally held in high regard."..............................................The VA high regard are you serious, As an ex soldier I was treated in VA hospitals, never again, cattle are treated better in a livestock exchange ask any Vet. ...............From Here's just one of dozens of scandals involving care of our veterans ;.................................................Wikipedia, The Walter Reed Army Medical Center neglect scandal resulted from a series of allegations of unsatisfactory conditions, treatment of patients, and management at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in Washington, D.C. culminating in two articles published by The Washington Post in February 2007. Several cases of patient neglect, and shoddy living conditions were reported as early as 2004. Signifigant public and media attention was generated which in turn prompted a number of congressional and executive actions, including resignations of several high ranking officers [1] Walter Reed is the pinnacle of military healthcare and if care is so poor at what is the center of military medicine, imagine what it's like on the outer reaches, as someone who has received our governments care in the past, well I'm less than impressed, while they do have caring med. personal, the management of these facilities is a joke I realise your wife is/was an military doctor but in this instance it's abundantly clear that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about you're dumb as a rock opening your mouth just to insert your foot, don't you ever get tired of being constantly wrong or looking foolish.

alladat1 36 you do understand a troubled business is one that is failing and that groups like Bain Capital are not charities That if the Company is salvageble, it's more profitable to get it back on its' feet, if not it should be closed and dispersed ( or to use another word "Recycled") Grow up Businesses are set up and run to make a PROFIT, whether a High schooler mowing lawns or a multibillion dollar industry the goal is the same produce a profit for those that invested whether they bought a lawnmower or a factory.

Attention Bedpan, AFChief, Pest, Mike & Diane, this is directed at you:

"Joe Scarborough raged against right-wing bloggers on Tuesday's "Morning Joe," following their criticism of former Florida governor Jeb Bush.

Bush said Monday that Ronald Reagan and his father George H.W. Bush "would have a hard time" with today's ultra-conservative party. He was criticized by Grover Norquist, the lobbyist who enlisted most Republicans in Congress to sign a pledge against new taxes.

When asked what he made of the remarks, Scarborough railed against critics who have called the former governor a "RINO" (Republican in name only). He claimed that "the future of the Republican party" belongs to conservatives like himself and Bush, not Norquist.

Then directing his message to conservative bloggers, Scarborough said, "You know, you can go online and act like a jackass and say what you want to say. And now everybody is calling Jeb Bush a RINO. Just shut the hell up."

So tell us, are Joe and Jeb RINO's, or you guys ingorant nuts? (I vote the latter)

I don't consider Jeb a RINO, since you directly asked. But I don't consider Oliar a patriotic American either...and I don't think that either Jimt or JimH have a leg to stand on when debating the lack of accomplishments of their idol. ( Or is he your "false idol"?? )
