A Cartoon Solution

I support the printing of political cartoons.
Cartoons (the good, thought-provoking ones, at least, whether they are on the editorial pages or on the funny pages) are a great venue for true American philosophy. They can be deeply perceptive.
As The Pilot has stated, “Cartoonists are typically irreverent types who love to puncture the balloons of the pompous.” Whenever a particular cartoon punctures a balloon, some are offended. That can be a good thing.
Though The Pilot is a local paper, I agree with the reader who stated, “A newspaper without an editorial cartoon does not meet my standard.”
The Pilot is the only paper many people in Moore County read, and it could benefit readers to be exposed to some national thoughts and opinions.
Maybe a solution could be to make the cartoons smaller and run two cartoons each day, one for each side of the fence.
