They're here!
The village of Pinehurst welcomed over 1,300 kids and their families from over 40 countries to Moore County during the opening ceremonies of the 13th annual U.S. Kids Golf World Championship Tuesday.
Participants paraded up Carolina Vista Drive, through Ritter Road and into downtown on Chinquapin Road waving flags and cheering as spectators recognized each country represented.
The young golfers come to the area each year to participate in the world's most prestigious and largest kids golf tournament. They will be competing on host courses in the area through this weekend.

Please give them all a ball repair tool...PLEASE!!!?......never seen such disregard for courses than from these participants. Their parents should be ashamed for not teaching them to be good stewards of the game.

The greens were horrible this past weekend. You would think tournament officials would be more proactive in this matter.

Be sure to tell the AAA that more of those rich golfers are in town, time to raise the gas prices.

They come every year for kids' tournaments and leave the facilities in a shamble. Most are summer camp kids whose parents are vacationing in another country. Food fights, holes in walls from various objects, and have a careless attitude. My heart goes out to the Pinehurst Staff who have to put up those brats.

See? More of those rich golfers, taking vacations in another country and raising the gas prices here.

Geez, I thought this was a good thing. Lots of tourists spending $$ stimulating the economy, giving the area some publicity. So much hate, I need a tissue. :(

$$ spent here is great. But the little kiddos and PARENTs need to respect the local golf courses here. Ball marks are rarely fixed by the kiddos and this starts with the parents

Why does every story have to have negativity and complaining about one thing or another.

Nice picture. Visitors are good for the area. Looks like they are marching to Chic Fil A for chicken sandwiches.
