W.P. Police Charge Two in Connection with February Car Break-ins

The Whispering Pines police department has charged two men in connection with a rash of car break-ins that occurred in February.

The break-ins occurred in the Whispering Winds subdivision.

Omega Draville Bacote, 35, of Fayetteville and Stewart Moore, 38 of Raeford are both charged with 21 counts of felony breaking or entering a motor vehicle, 17 counts of misdemeanor larceny, 16 counts of misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, two counts of felony financial card theft, and one count each of felony larceny of a firearim, felony possession of a stolen firearm, felony first degree burglary and felony larceny after breaking and entering.

Both men are currently in the Cumberland County Jail.

I'm glad they've been caught. People work hard to get the things they want in life and it's just wrong that some people think it's okay to just take what they want instead of working for them. I agree with sandhillsdogs... Good Job!!

Funny every other media outlet is showing a picture of this criminal, but the Pilot will not. They sure didn't hesitate to show the picture of the white man who had done one thing wrong, but the black man with 82 charges gets a pass on having his face shown.

Kind of wondering if they are the same two that went through Village Acres breaking into cars....wouldn't doubt it.
