Eagle Springs Man Faces Drug, Weapons Charges

Moore County Sheriff’s officers arrested an Eagle Springs man on multiple charges.
Ricky Joe Harvel, 32, of the 100 block of Eagle Branch Road, was charged with one count of felony possession of firearm by felon, one count of maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for control substance, possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a release from the department.
During the investigation of Harvel it was determined that he was wanted in the state of Indiana for violation of probation on an aggravated assault charge in 1999. Harvel has been charged by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office as a fugitive from justice in Indiana.
Harvel’s bond was set at $ 50,000.00 secured on the drug charges and the firearm violation with a court date of Aug 6.
Bond on the fugitive charge was set at no bond with a court date of July 18.

They could have given him a $1,000 bond.... He's not getting out anyway. Because there's no bond available for EXTRADITION/FUGITIVE OTHER STATE. The 50k was set for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Can we convict this clown fast and send him back for a long stretch at the Michigan City, IN Pen? No sense in keeping him here for his room and board.
