Living Under Tyranny

Thomas Jefferson, our third president and author of the Declaration of Independence, just turned over in his grave when he heard the ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court on Obama’s health care mandate.

Simply put, one of Jefferson’s quotes says it all: “If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”

We as a people just need to make it clear to those we elect that their power is by our grace and we can and will take it away should they chose to exercise it beyond the limits we impose. This nov. we as citizens need to send a clear unequivocal message of our "demand" for limited Government and continue to send that message every two (2) years.

Jefferson also said "One man with courage is a majority" Chief Justice Roberts acted with courage along with four of his compatriots in the majority. Equally, as Jefferson said, "It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good" With time most will come to accept the value of the Affordable Care Act.

And I'm sure when Chief Justice Roberts made his decision he had in mind the words of John Paul Jones: "It is true that I must run a great risk; no gallant action was ever accomplished without danger".
