The Aberdeen Police Department provided the following information.

Arrests

July 4: John Edward Hammer, 58, of Asheboro, fail to appear-drug violations, simple drug possession.

July 5: Faith Wilson Mather, 42, of Aberdeen, felony assault with a deadly weapon.

July 7: Michael Fereade Gilmore, 30, of Aberdeen, misdemeanor assault on female.

Reports

July 3: An employee of McNeil Oil, 32265 U.S. 1, Aberdeen, reported the theft of a company truck and copper from the business; Female, 67, reported an unknown subject cut a tire on a 2002 Buick parked in the Walmart parking lot.

July 4: Male, 42, reported the theft of credit cards from a local convenience store.

July 5: An employee of Motel 6, 1408 N. Sandhills Blvd., reported receiving counterfeit cash from a known suspect.
