"Come chill out at the Southern Pines Public Library and enjoy free movies and refreshments throughout the summer with our movie days," says Amanda Snyder, assistant director for public services.

All showings start at 2:30.

First up, get your paws hot during a classic film and afternoon tea at the Oldies & Goodies movie, Thursday, July 12. Then for families, let the wild rumpus start on Sunday, July 22.

Finally, two showings to go along with the library's Adult Summer Reading Program featuring the book "The Maltese Falcon," by Dashiell Hammett, one on Thursday Aug. 2, and the other Sunday, Aug. 5.
