I like that - they had a joint investigation to find the weed.

...and how is it that pursuing "joint" dealers (good joke, Courseaire) protects the good citizens of this area, again? When are we going to move cannabis out of Schedule I and out of felony criminal prosecution? Control it through regulation, yes ( think: ABC store), but use the police to catch armed robbers at Burger King.

Decriminalize marijuana. A no-brainer.

9.5 pounds is a lot of pot. This was not some poor schmuck smoking pot in his basement. Thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs. This guys needs a long prison sentence.

I know one thing, if wdd01st had commented, he would have said that drugs may or may not be important but having every person in the world have a firearm is the best way to live in this world because having a gun is the great equalizer. It makes the smallest, dumbest, weakest, piece of human garbage equal to the biggest, smartest, strongest model citizen. Take away wdd101st's guns and he becomes a defenseless, whimpering little girl.

@ch28237 Marijuana is not a Schedule I, it is a schedule VI and is under misdemeanor charges when it is simple possession. I dont think 9.5 pounds qualifies for simple possession or personal use amounts. That is a huge amount of dope, and its obvious he is selling it and making money off of illegal acitivity while supporting murdering drug cartels and avoiding govt taxes and regulations. I guess you dont have children and you dont care that this poison is getting in the hands of our children and damaging their brains. I get so tired of people wanting to legalize marijuana thinking its some great idea. If youve ever tried to have an intelligent conversation with a person who uses marijuana regularly then you would realize what kind of effect it has. These drugs promote crime and have no use in our society.

MLD206, I think it might be you that have not had a conversation with a "pot head". Fact is, you have conversations with them everyday!! People that use marijuana come in every color, shape, size, position in life and the works. Doctors, lawyers, policemen, firemen, politicians etc. While they probably do not make up the majority of users, there are many of them. I live in a place that has very little stigma associated with recreational drug use, and from what I have seen in over 30 yrs, is that the place is "no worse for the wear".

Yukon, there is a reason why Alaska has the highest rate of suicides in the Country. Keep your pot smoking up there and we will be just fine. Im glad you think its ok to keep funding Mexican drug cartels and to keep supporting the murders of our LEO's who fight the drug wars everyday. If you think it doesnt cause problems just watch a few of the shows about Border Wars, Homeland Security, etc. and you will see that nothing good comes from drug trafficking or use. Ive seen first hand for many years the damaging effects of people who buy, sell, and use drugs. Anything that is addictive promotes crime and damages the human body in many ways. I stand on my principles.
