Andy and Angie Scherer, of Carthage, announce the engagement of their daughter, Janna Scherer, to Mark Nall, both of Carthage. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mac and Ann Mills, of Southern Pines, and the late Leo and Nila Scherer.

The groom-elect is the son of Warren and Teresa Nall, of Vass, and the grandson of Hazel Christian, of Carthage, and the late Clawson Christian, and the late William and Stella Nall.

A Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, wedding is planned at Carthage United Methodist Church.
