Graham and Susan Huston celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 12, 2011.

Susan has taught school in Durham and Washington, D.C., and Graham worked as an attorney in Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia, retiring to Pinehurst in 2007. The couple were married at Christ Church in Greenwich, Conn., on Nov. 12, 1961.

The couple have three sons, Derek and daughter-in-law Kiki, of New Orleans, La., Ghent and daughter-in-law Carita, of Helsinki, Finland, and Garth and daughter-in-law Sara, of Alexandria, Va. The Hustons have five grandchildren.

The couple hosted a party at their home for out-of-town guests and family, had a celebratory dinner in the Evergreen Music Room at the Holly Inn, Pinehurst, and a parting Sunday breakfast at the Pinehurst Country Club.
