The Sandhills Flyers (15-2) take on Louisburg (10-3) at 7:30 p.m. tonight at The O’Neal School in one of the most attractive home games of the season so far.

The Flyers are ranked No. 8 in the current NJCAA Division III poll while the Hurricanes are No. 6 in the Div. II standings. Coach Mike Apple’s squad was defeated 89-72 in Louisburg last month.

In a warm-up for the rematch, the Flyers overcame a cold shooting night to defeat the Guilford College jayvee team 65-50 in Greensboro on Tuesday. Markell Lotharp and Raheem Jolliffe led the winners with 12 points apiece. Raheem Washington contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds. Pinecrest grad Tramaine Pride had a big night on the boards with 16 caroms to go with eight points.

The Flyers were 2-for-17 from behind the arc and made only 32.4 per cent of their field attempts overall. They out-rebounded the Quakers 57-36.
