The Southern Pines Police Department provided the following information.
Arrests
Dec. 16: Joshua Alexander McRae, 17, of Seven Lakes, larceny; Roger Smith, 57, of Southern Pines, felony larceny and possessing stolen goods; Anthony M. Hancock, 57, of Southern Pines, felony larceny and possessing stolen goods.
Dec. 18: Deneice Francine Ballard, 18, of Fayetteville, possession of marijuana; Devaney Alexa Ballard, 20, of Fayetteville, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver controlled substance, misdemeanor child abuse, resisting a public officer, failure to appear (order for arrest), speed to elude arrest, fail to stop for siren, driving while license revoked; reckless driving and impeding traffic.
Dec. 20: Norman Lee Stokes, 48, of Southern Pines, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dec. 21: Krystal Brehanna Clark, 22, of Southern Pines, driving while license suspended or revoked and failure to appear (order for arrest); Samuel Voncannon Walden, 19, of Southern Pines, simple assault.
Dec. 22: William Kirk Vankoughnet, 30, of Southern Pines, three counts of breaking and entering, felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, two counts of larceny, possession of stolen goods and possession of drug paraphernalia; Kenneth Barry Jacobs, 52, of Southern Pines, possession of drug paraphernalia; Amanda Carlotta Taylor, 29, of Southern Pines, simple assault simple assault and battery or affray.
Dec. 24: Vanessa Gwynet Tanesha Stubbs, 19, of Southern Pines, injury to personal property.
Reports
Dec. 20: Female, 18, reported the theft of an antique jewelry box and assorted jewelry from a home in the 100 block of Sandhurst Place; An employee of Moore OnStage, 262 Pinehurst Ave., reported the theft of a check and attempt to obtain money with it by falsifying information.
Dec. 21: Female, 26, reported the theft of a radio and cash and damage to two windows from a break in at The Hair Cottage Salon and Zumba Fitness, both on Bradford Village Court; Female, 54, reported the theft of a computer, a laptop computer, 70 flashlight pens and three fire safes from Bradford Associates, Bradford Village Court; Male, 48, reported another person struck him in the head and took medication during an incident at a home in the 1000 block of Talmadge Way;
Male, 58, reported the theft of a license plate from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Brucewood Road; Female, 80, reported the theft of jewelry from a home on Village by the Lake Lane; Juvenile reported damage to windows on a vehicle at a home in the 100 block of Haines Court; Male, of Fayetteville, reported damage to a door lock on a vacant building in the 600 block of North Bennett Street.
Dec. 22: Female, 47, reported the theft of prescription drugs, a necklace and nail polish from a home on Chestertown Drive; Male, 58, reported damage to windows at a home in the 100 block of Haines Road as well as to windows on a vehicle parked at the residence; Male, 51, reported the theft of cash from a home in the 100 block of Murray Hill Road.
Dec. 23: Male, reported someone removed tools after entering a carport of a home of the 1500 block of West Pennsylvania Avenue Extension.
Dec. 24: Female, 51, reported an attempted break-in at a home in the 100 block of Shady Lane; Female, 19, reported she was assaulted at a home in the 100 block of Murray Hill Road; Female, 25, reported another person assaulted her and then stole her prescription glasses in the 10800 block of U.S. 15-501; Female, 24, reported she was punched during an incident in the 300 block of Shaw Avenue.
Dec. 25: An unidentified individual reported another assaulted the victim during an incident at a home in the 700 block of North Saylor Street; Male, 34, reported someone slashed tires and scratched a window of a vehicle parked in the 700 block of North Saylor Street.
Dec. 26: Male, 41, reported he was threatened by another at a home in the 600 block of North Ashe Street.
Dec. 28: Female, 92, reported theft of jewelry from a home in the 500 block of Central Drive.
