A late-night dryer fire causes little or no damage at Aberdeen dry cleaners.

Aberdeen firefighers were dispatched at 11:21 p.m. Wednesday night to American Dry Cleaners, 1902 North Poplar Street, for an alarm activation.

Deputy Fire Chief Richard Allred said smoke from a dryer set off the alarm.

""It was a dryer fire that was contained to the dryer," he said. "There was no smoke damage, no water damage."

The fire, Allred said, was caused when rags in the dryer caught fire.

No one was injured in the incident.

Allred said firefighters cleared the scene in about an hour.
