Applebee's Neighbor-hood Grill and Bar in Aberdeen is partnering with the American Heritage Girls Troop NC 0121 to host a flapjack fundraiser Saturday.
All proceeds raised will go toward an overnight troop excursion aboard the USS Yorktown.
"This trip will be an exciting experience for the American Heritage Girls Troop NC 0121, and we are delighted to help them raise the funds to attend," said Michael Olander, president and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. "We hope they have a successful fundraiser and a fun, safe trip."
The fundraiser at the Applebee's restaurant at 1403 N. Sandhills Blvd. will start at 8 a.m. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Jill Woodman at (910) 986-1800.
Breakfast includes a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
Applebee's partners with local nonprofit organizations as a way to raise money for their causes. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the nonprofit organization, with the assistance of Applebee's employee volunteers.
Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization about $2 a meal. The Applebee's flapjack fundraisers represent the restaurant chain's latest efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
