A 28-year-old Hoffman man has been arrested and charged in connection with the thefts of town water meters, Southern Pines police said.

Charles Wesley Seagraves Jr., is charged with one count of felony larceny and two counts of misdemeanor larceny in connection with the thefts that occurred on Dec. 10 and Dec. 17.

Seagraves received a $5,000 unsecured bond pending a hearing in Moore County District on Jan. 16.
