Two Moore County Men Face Felony Drug Charges

Two men have been arrested and are facing felony drug charges following their arrest, said Moore County Sheriff Lane Carter.
Luke William Bassett, 31, of 404 Park Drive, Aberdeen, and Kenneth Darby Rogers, 34, of 1807 E. Indiana Avenue, Southern Pines, were both arrested on Dec. 4 after officers searched Bassett's residence and found approximately 544 grams of high-grade marijuana, a stolen .9 mm handgun, $363 and items of drug paraphernalia.
Bassett is charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Bassett received a $50,000 secured bond and was placed in the Moore County jail.
Rogers is charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, and felony possession of a stolen firearm.
Rogers received a $10,000 secured bond and was placed in the Moore County jail.
The arrests resulted from a join effort of the Moore County Sheriff's Office Narcotis Unit and the North Carolina Department of Community Corrections.
The estimated street value of the marijuana seized is $6,800.
