North Moore Wrestlers Drop Two

The North Moore wrestling traveled to Eastern Randolph for a tri-match Wednesday that included Randleman. The Mustangs dropped both matches to the 2-A schools due to having to forfeit five matches each against Randleman and Eastern Randolph.
In their match against host Eastern Randolph, the Mustangs won five of the eight matches that took place on the mat.
Senior Kyle Kidd pinned Eastern Randolph’s Seth Cox in the 195-pound division, with 38 showing on the clock while fellow senior teammate Logan Stancil won the 145-pound bout by pinning the Wildcats’ Roberto Chavarria at the 1:30 mark.
Junior Will Nall picked up a win for the Mustangs by pinning Jarad Raya with the clock showing 1:38. Sophomore Joe Davis also won in the heavy height division pinning Lucio Cruz in 45 seconds. North Moore picked up its fifth win with freshman Garrett Kidd (138 pounds) pinning Payne Sheek.
The Mustangs’ Chris Renzi (113), Chas Richardson (120) and Ian Farris (152) lost their matches against Eastern Randolph.
In the Randleman match, Nall (132) picked up his second win of the day with an 11-1 major decision over Gabriel Villagrara. Kyle Kidd (195) also won his second match beating Todd Traxler on a 7-4 decision. Stancil (145) won his second match beating Daryl Hunt by an 8-3 decision. Richardson (120) won by a forfeit for the Mustangs.
Renzi (113), Garrett Kidd (138), Ian Farris (152), and Davis (285) lost their matches against Randleman.
The Mustangs entertained Hoke County and Jordan-Matthews Thursday in their first home match of the season. North Moore travels to Thomasville Wednesday for a match scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
