SCORE Announces Fall Business Seminar Series

The Sandhills chapter of SCORE, a service organization providing free management assistance to small businesses, has set the fall edition of its popular program of free seminars.

This six-seminar series, to be held on Tuesdays beginning Sept. 4, is jointly sponsored by SCORE and the Small Business Center at Sandhills Community College. Each seminar will be conducted by an experienced business person selected by SCORE.

The series, called "Business Basics," will be conducted from 6 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday through Oct. 9 at Sandhills Community College. The schedule and topics for the six seminars are:

n Sept. 4-The Right Stuff

n Sept. 11-Great Beginnings

n Sept. 18-business plan

n Sept. 25-marketing

n Oct. 2-accounting

n Oct. 9-how to get a business loan

As in previous years, SCORE will award $75 cash as an advertising stipend to every business owner who attends the five consecutive seminars beginning with "Great Beginnings" on Sept. 11 through Oct. 9. Details on this cash award are available on the Sandhills SCORE website, www.sandhillsscore.org/ seminars.
