The Sandhills Buckeyes have been active in the Sandhills community for five years.

The club has received the highest award given from The Ohio State University every year it has been in existence, the Gold Star Award. This accomplishment is one that no other alumni club has ever achieved.

The Buckeye Club places emphasis on awarding scholarships to local students who plan, or are attending, The Ohio State University; building a positive image of Ohio State within the community by participating and supporting local events; contributing to nonprofit organizations in the community through donations; and staying connected with the university through the Ohio State University Alumni Association.

The club invites and encourages all Buckeye fans and alumni to become members. Game day watches are held at Mulligan's on 18 at the Southern Pines Golf Club for the noon and 3:30 games, and at Maxie's in Pinehurst for the 6 p.m. and after games.

Fayetteville club members meet at Beef O'Brady's in downtown Fayetteville.

The club's website is www.sandhillsbuck eyes.net. Membership applications can be found on the website.
